"The world is scary" said Addie Sue. "There are times when I'm afraid."

"Sometimes when it's dark." said Emmy Lou,  "I feel afraid and nervous too."

"Whenever that happens," said Addie Sue,  "I call my Mom and we pray."

"Does that help?" asked Emmy Lou.

"It sure does," said Addie Sue.  "And then we read God's Word together."

"What part is best?"  asked Emmy Lou.

"We like it all," said Addie Sue.

"But what's your favorite? asked Emmy Lou.

"What we read yesterday," said Addie Sue. "Here, let me read it for you."

It's Philippians 4:6

Don't worry about anything,

Instead pray about everything.

Tell God your needs and don't forget

To thank Him for His answers.

"I like that," said Emmy Lou.  "Can we read together sometime too?"

"That would be fun," said Addie Sue.  "I know what we can do.  We'll

get together and pray together,

Jesus and me and you."
